Carlo Ancelotti reportedly contacts former club Chelsea over a move for Frank Lampard.

Former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly eager to bring midfielder Frank Lampard to new club Paris Saint-Germain this month.

The England playmaker, who has dropped down the pecking order in Andre Villas-Boas's side, has been linked with a sensational switch to Manchester United as well as MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy in recent months.

It is believed that Ancelotti has contacted the Blues over a potential reunion with the 33-year-old, according to talkSPORT.

Lampard, who is said to be frustrated at the lack of first-team opportunities under the Portuguese manager, is expected to miss Chelsea's FA Cup match against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday after suffering a calf tear.
