Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino believes that Juan Cuadrado will shine in the Premier League when he completes his expected move to Chelsea.
The Colombia international is set to join the Blues from Fiorentina after Vincenzo Montella confirmed that the winger had left the club, with Mohamed Salah moving to the Serie A side as part of the deal.
Pochettino feels that the style of Cuadrado's game will suit the top flight of English football after an impressive series of performances for Colombia, especially in the World Cup last summer.
He told reporters: "He is a top player. He is a decisive player. He is very strong. I've watched him a lot playing for Colombia, his national team.
"[Jose] Pekerman and Nestor Lorenzo, the manager and assistant manager for Colombia, are my friends. I speak always about Cuadrado. He is a top player.
"You never know but he has all the attributes to be successful here. He is a very good player. He's a wing-back. He can play like a winger and like a full-back. He is strong, he is powerful and he is very technical."
Tottenham could face Cuadrado in the Capital One Cup final when they take on Chelsea on March 1.
