Jose Mourinho has reportedly set his sights on luring Napoli striker Edinson Cavani to Chelsea, if the Real Madrid boss is appointed manager in the summer.
The Portuguese coach is one of the favourites to succeed Andre Villas-Boas, who was sacked by the former Premier League champions after just nine months in charge.
It is believed that if Mourinho were to return to Stamford Bridge his first transfer decision would be to sell out-of-form striker Fernando Torres in order to buy Cavani, according to the Daily Star.
Mourinho is thought to be a huge admirer of the 25-year-old and would reportedly be willing to offload Torres, who has only scored five goals in his Chelsea career.
It is thought that Napoli would expect a fee in the region of £40m for the frontman.
