Chelsea have reportedly been handed a boost in their efforts to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe.
The Blues have already been proactive in their efforts for new additions this summer with Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson having been brought in to strengthen their options in attack.
Mauricio Pochettino is seemingly still in the market for a new centre-back, central midfielder and a player who can be deployed in a number of roles in the final third.
While other players have been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent weeks, speculation regarding a potential approach for Mbappe is not going away.
With the France international showing no interest in a renewal at Parc des Princes, PSG are eager to find a buyer for his services, something which currently appears unlikely.

No European club is willing to pay big money for a player who PSG feel is keen to sign for Real Madrid in 12 months time, resulting in a loan exit becoming a realistic possibility.
Earlier this week, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp played down the prospect of Mbappe moving to Anfield on such terms, but Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly is said to have held talks with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
Although it remains unclear whether any progress was made with those discussions, Sport claims that the Premier League outfit are active in the race for Mbappe's signature.
The report claims that, while Mbappe has no interest in signing for Chelsea on a permanent basis, he is open to agreeing to a one-year loan stint in West London.

Mbappe is keen to remain in control of his own future, the indication being that he is prepared to remain on the periphery of Luis Enrique's squad if he does not get his desired move in due course.
PSG have already banished Mbappe from their plans for the new campaign and are allegedly pressing ahead with securing a replacement which, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, may be Benfica's Goncalo Ramos.
Furthermore, it is claimed by Sport that a loan deal would not suit either PSG or Chelsea, yet it may be necessary to find a resolution.
Real Madrid have allegedly taken no steps to try to sign Mbappe this summer, aware that their long-term target is due to become a free agent at the end of June.
