Frank Lampard has suggested that he could soon be on his way out of Chelsea.
The 34-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has yet to discuss new terms with the European champions.
The England international has been linked with a number of clubs, including Los Angeles Galaxy, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal.
"Maybe things don't last forever," Sky Sports News quotes Lampard as saying. "Although I want it to last forever, you have to be big enough to know what it is.
"The ball is in Chelsea's court. I'm a Chelsea player, as simple as that. I've had a great, great time here.
"Whatever happens, I have had a great time at Chelsea. I am determined to play a few more years and see what pans out in the near future."
Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez recently claimed that he was unsure whether Lampard would be staying at Stamford Bridge next season.
