Ben Foster plays down West Bromwich Albion's chances of keeping on-loan centre-forward Romelu Lukaku.

West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Ben Foster has admitted that his club face an uphill task in keeping on-loan striker Romelu Lukaku for another season.

The Belgian, who spent the entire campaign with the Baggies from Chelsea, scored a hat-trick during yesterday's 5-5 draw with Manchester United in what could prove to be his final appearance for the team.

Discussing West Brom's chances of securing a second deal for the 20-year-old, Foster played it down by insisting that the Blues "would be fools" to loan him out again.

"There's no way he's coming back here next season. Chelsea would be fools to let him come back with the way their forward line is misfiring," he told the Express & Star.

"He is exactly what they need at the minute. He was unplayable. As soon as he came on, you could see that United were scared of him. He scored a hat-trick and we drew the game 5-5 so it was a fitting send-off."

Lukaku found the net on 17 occasions in the Premier League for the Black Country club.
