Chelsea outcast Radamel Falcao reveals he rejected big-money move to China

Chelsea's out-of-favour striker Radamel Falcao reveals that he turned down big-money offers from clubs in China in order to stay in England.

Chelsea's on-loan striker Radamel Falcao has revealed that he turned down two lucrative offers from football clubs in China in favour of staying in England.

The Colombian international has struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge since moving to the club on a temporary deal from AS Monaco last summer.

The striker, who has been plagued by injuries this season, has made just nine appearances in the Premier League for the Blues, but he is determined to prove his ability before the campaign comes to an end.

"It's true that I had two different offers from Chinese football, but I stayed in England in order to give myself the opportunity," Falcao told El Tiempo. "To go there would have been the easiest way, because it was a great offer, but I wanted to stay.

"People have the right to their opinions and I know that my career is public, just as I know that everything can change in football. It's true that you can't always win, you have to keep working and believe that the situation will be better in future.

"I'm thinking about what I can do at the club before May. I'm not looking beyond that. Staying depends on many things, not only me. So I try to give my best in training in order to get an opportunity, but things will be analysed when decisions have to be made."

The 30-year-old has not featured since Chelsea's 3-1 defeat to Liverpool on October 31.
