Chelsea 'weigh up January bid for Samuel Chukwueze'

Chelsea are reportedly considering a January swoop for Villarreal attacker Samuel Chukwueze.

The Blues have lost four of their last five Premier League matches during a difficult run and now face a trip to bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.

Having had their FIFA-imposed transfer suspension lifted, Frank Lampard's side are expected to be active in the winter transfer market, with a new attacker thought to be a priority.

According to El Desmarque, Chukwueze has emerged as a leading target for the London giants, who could launch a big-money move for the 20-year-old next month.

The Nigeria international has scored three times and contributed two assists in 16 La Liga appearances for the Yellow Submarine this term, while he netted 10 goals in all competitions during the 2018-19 campaign.

Chukwueze, who was linked with both Liverpool and Manchester City earlier this year, has a contract with Villarreal until the summer of 2023.
