Chelsea have reportedly edged ahead in the race to sign Wrexham teenager Daniel Davies.
The 16-year-old recently made his debut for Wales Under-18s, helping his nation to a 1-1 draw against England Under-18s.
The teenager's performance during that fixture strengthened his chances of securing a transfer to a big club over the coming months.
According to Goal, the left-back has been provided with an opportunity to spend a week on trial at Chelsea.
Liverpool are also said to be keen on the prospect, while Brighton & Hove Albion and Stoke City are regarded as alternatives.
With Davies having not penned a professional contract, Wrexham are currently not entitled to any compensation.
