Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly willing to spend £36m on bringing Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Luka Modric to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are reportedly planning to better Real Madrid's offer for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Luka Modric.

The La Liga champions are said to be willing to spend £30m on the 26-year-old Croatian, who is keen on a move to Spain this summer, according to his former international teammate Mate Bilic.

However, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich wants Modric to become Frank Lampard's long-term replacement at Stamford Bridge and the Russian is preparing a £36m offer, according to The Express.

Modric made 36 Premier League starts last season, scoring four goals.
