Chelsea to move for Luis Suarez in summer?

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will reportedly make a £55m move for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez during the summer.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez will reportedly be the subject of a £55m offer from Chelsea during the summer.

Suarez, who only signed a new contract with the Merseyside club in December, has scored 23 goals in 19 Premier League games for the Reds this season.

According to The Metro, reports in South America have said that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho and owner Roman Abramovich held talks earlier this week to assess the January transfer window and discuss potential targets in the summer.

Several forwards have been linked with Chelsea since the turn of the year, but it is being reported that Mourinho has indicated that he wants Suarez to spearhead his side's attack next season.

Chelsea could make an opening bid of £55m for the 27-year-old, but that offer would likely be rebuffed by the Anfield outfit.
