Chelsea reportedly plan to swoop for Southampton's latest academy star Luke Shaw.
According to The Guardian, left-back Shaw could command a fee in the region of £4m at the tender age of 16.
Saints' academy is the envy of teams across the country, producing talent such as Gareth Bale, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Shaw, who turns 17 on July 12, will be an understudy to compatriots Ashley Cole and Ryan Bertrand if any potential move could be completed.
The youngster has played for both England Under-16 and 17 teams and last season made his debut for the senior Southampton side, coming on as a substitute in an FA Cup tie against Millwall.
Blues boss Roberto Di Matteo is expected to face stiff competition from Premier League rivals should the promising starlet be available.
