Chelsea are reportedly prepared to step up their interest in goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey.
The Wales international, now 34 years of age, has just been released by Crystal Palace after a seven-year stint at Selhurst Park.
Hennessey has made just one Premier League appearance since October 2019, which came during a 4-0 defeat at Liverpool towards the back end of last season.
However, according to BBC Sport, Chelsea are ready to offer the veteran a chance to become their third-choice stopper.
Thomas Tuchel requires a fresh face in that role at Stamford Bridge as a result of Willy Caballero departing the West Londoners on a free transfer.
Aston Villa and Burnley are also said to be monitoring the situation, while a number of EFL clubs may be keen to offer Hennessey regular first-team football.
