Chelsea are reportedly keen to sign Porto's Jesus Corona in the early stages of this summer's transfer window.
The 28-year-old has been in impressive form for his Portuguese club during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring three times and contributing 11 assists in 40 appearances in all competitions.
Corona's existing deal with Porto is due to expire next summer, and there is believed to be a £21m release clause in the agreement.
The buy-out fee is only thought to be active until June, though, and according to O Jogo, Chelsea are keen to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
The report claims that the release clause rises to £34m beyond June, meaning that Thomas Tuchel's side face a race against the clock when the market opens to secure his signature.
Corona - a 45-time Mexico international - has largely operated as a right-sided midfielder this season but is also capable of playing as a right-back.
