Chelsea could reportedly raise in the region of £50m during the January transfer window through player sales.

Chelsea could reportedly raise in the region of £50m during the January transfer window through player sales, with Kepa Arrizabalaga among those potentially being moved on.

The Blues were the biggest spenders in Europe over the summer, but there are still a number of first-team players at the club seemingly surplus to requirements under Frank Lampard.

According to football.london, Chelsea will attempt to shift some unwanted players in the winter window and could raise £50m through sales.

The report claims that Marcos Alonso, who was strongly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge over the summer, could be moved on in January, in addition to fellow left-back Emerson Palmieri.

Kepa has also been relegated to the club's number two goalkeeper since Edouard Mendy's arrival over the summer, and the Spain international does not appear to have a long-term future with the Blues.

Chelsea paid more than £70m for the stopper in 2018, but the capital giants are said to be prepared to cut their losses in the next transfer window.

Meanwhile, Baba Rahman, who has not played for the club since the 2015-16 campaign, is expected to be available for transfer in the early stages of 2021.
