Barcelona are reportedly not prepared to meet the current contractual demands of Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger.
Last week, it was claimed that representatives of the Germany international had met with Barcelona officials to discuss the possibility of a transfer in the summer.
With Rudiger having less than three months remaining on his deal at Stamford Bridge, he is due to become a free agent and can hold discussions with foreign clubs.
However, according to Sport, Barcelona have no intention of paying Rudiger a net figure of €7m (£5.88m) per season, plus a signing-on fee.
Although Barcelona are known to be in the market for at least one new central defender, it is suggested that they will only progress with a deal for the 29-year-old if he is prepared to accept a lower package.
Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel insisted on Friday that he remains confident of retaining the services of Rudiger in the long term.
