Chelsea are reportedly prepared to lower Tiemoue Bakayoko's asking price to £20m.
Despite having cost £40m as recently as 2017, Bakayoko has only spent the 2017-18 campaign at Stamford Bridge, later being loaned out to AC Milan and Monaco respectively.
While the 25-year-old now has just two years left on his contract, it has previously been claimed that club officials would try to recoup the same fee which they shelled out for the Frenchman three years ago.
Needing to raise funds to boost their chances of acquiring their own targets, The Sun suggests that Chelsea have now halved Bakayoko's valuation.
The report says that the move has been made to tempt Milan into making an approach for the player in the coming weeks.
Nevertheless, the Italian outfit may wish to reach a further compromise with Chelsea if they are to press ahead with a bid.
