Liverpool have reportedly moved closer to agreeing personal terms over a deal to sign Brighton & Hove Albion's Alexis Mac Allister.
The Argentine World Cup winner has continued to impress following his international success, helping Brighton on their charge for a first-ever European qualification this season with 10 Premier League goals to his name.
With James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all set to leave Liverpool when their contracts expire in the summer, midfield reinforcements are top of the agenda for Jurgen Klopp.
Therefore, Fabrizio Romano claims that an agreement over personal terms is almost complete between Liverpool and Mac Allister, but the potential transfer fee has not yet been disclosed.
Brighton are said to be happy for Mac Allister to leave, as long as the transfer valuation they have placed on the player is met.
However, Romano also emphasises that the deal is not yet done, and that Mauricio Pochettino is a fan of the player, meaning Chelsea could also pursue a move should the Argentine manager take over at Stamford Bridge.
