Willian: 'Chelsea fans do not want Tottenham Hotspur to win title'

Willian insists that Chelsea are desperate to stop Tottenham Hotspur from having a chance at winning the Premier League title.

Willian has insisted that Chelsea are desperate to push Tottenham Hotspur out of the Premier League title race when they go head to head on Monday night.

Leicester City have a seven-point lead at the top of the table, but if they do not beat Manchester United tomorrow, then Spurs will still have a chance of taking home the trophy.

Due to the rivalry between the two clubs, Willian has claimed that the last thing the Blues want is for Mauricio Pochettino and his men to lift the title one year after Chelsea did.

"We don't want Spurs to win the league," Willian told Sky Sports News. "Of course we want to win against them. The fans of Chelsea do not want them to win the title.

"Of course it will be a difficult game, a massive game. We have to win for our pride, not because Spurs are fighting to win the league. They have a great team, a great manager and they play great football.

"We have to go to the game, stay focused and play compact. We have to play like we did last season. At home we always have to win. This game is special for us. They come to win. They respect us but if they win here they have a chance to win the league. We have to stop them winning the league."

Chelsea are ninth in the table, 17 points behind a top-four place with four games left to play.
