Aston Villa defender John Terry is reportedly keen on securing a coaching role at former club Chelsea.

John Terry has reportedly decided that he would like to be involved on the coaching staff at former club Chelsea in the future.

Last summer, Terry ended his long-term association with Chelsea to pen a one-year deal at Aston Villa, and the 37-year-old has helped Villa move into the automatic promotion places in the Championship table.

Should Villa return to the top flight, Terry will likely be offered the opportunity to remain in the West Midlands but according to The Mirror, the centre-back is already giving serious thought to life in the dugout.

The report claims that Terry feels that his best chance of becoming manager of Chelsea in the future is to gain experience as an assistant or coach at Stamford Bridge.

Terry is also aware that Antonio Conte could potentially leave his role as head coach in the summer, a move which would likely leave to upheaval on the training ground.
