Chelsea captain John Terry has reportedly informed the club that he can handle playing twice a week, despite interim manager Rafael Benitez claiming otherwise.
The ex-Liverpool boss stated on Sunday that the former England international cannot cope with competing in two games a week following the defender's knee injury in November.
Despite the Spaniard's claims, Terry has insisted that he can play more regularly but is not expected to be first choice under Benitez, according to the Daily Mail.
The 32-year-old has slipped down the pecking order since recovering from his knee problem in January.
