Chelsea captain John Terry has revealed that competition for places has been good during the club's pre-season tour of Asia.
The Blues are currently in the Far East as they prepare for the new Premier League campaign.
"There are new young signings, they are obviously hungry and with points to prove and they are fighting for places as well, and competition has been very good in training," Terry told the club's official website.
"The new lads have settled in really well and the quality is good, and these trips definitely help that because you are in each other's pockets all day every day, so it is a great opportunity for them to get to know the other players."
Chelsea return to action on Thursday against the Indonesia All-Stars in Jakarta.
