Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has described Chelsea defender John Terry as a "warrior" after his side's 1-1 draw with the Premier League champions this afternoon.
Chelsea skipper Terry put the hosts in front in today's match with a well-directed header inside the opening five minutes, a goal that made him the highest-scoring defender in Premier League history.
A former coach at Chelsea, Rodgers knows Terry well and picked out the former England captain's passing and tenacity in a post-match interview.
"I worked here for four years with John Terry," he told BBC Sport. "He is the best centre-half in the league in his years. A wonderful passer of the ball and a warrior."
Terry, 34, has played every minute of Chelsea's Premier League campaign so far this term.
