Tony Pulis believes that his players performed better than they ever have at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has revealed his pride at his players after almost holding Chelsea to a draw earlier today.

Pulis, whose side lost to a late Ashley Cole strike, said that today's game was the best Stoke have played at Stamford Bridge.

"It is as well as we have played in the four or five years we have been coming here," Pulis told BBC Sport.

"We created some great chances and gave it a real go. Ultimately we are disappointed but I am proud of the players."

Stoke are currently 13th in the Premier League with four points from five games.
