Tony Pulis insists that Stoke City's 4-0 defeat to Chelsea was flattering for the Blues.

Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has revealed his belief that his side did not deserve to lose 4-0 to Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.

Jonathan Walters scored two own-goals and missed a penalty to compound the home side's misery, but Pulis felt that the scoreline flattered the visitors.

"We're disappointed," Sky Sports News quotes Pulis as saying. "Obviously the second goal kills us.

"The goals that we conceded were poor. I'm really disappointed with the penalty as well. I know Robert's got his hand on his shoulder but Mata's legs just collapsed and I think it's soft.

"I don't think that was a 4-0 today. It's very hard to take because I don't think the lads deserve to be on the back of a 4-0 defeat for that performance."

Stoke are now 10th in the Premier League.
