Former Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu has been banned from the Romanian national team for life.
The 32-year-old Cesena player has been accused by coach Victor Piturca of going out drinking two days before Wednesday night's 1-0 victory against San Marino and breaching team rules.
West Bromwich Albion defender Gabriel Tamas has also been banned for life.
Mutu was sacked by Chelsea in 2004 after testing positive for cocaine and was ordered to pay £14.5m in compensation to the Stamford Bridge club for breach of contract.
