Jose Mourinho: 'Fernando Torres has Chelsea future'

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho believes that Fernando Torres has a future at the club, even though he has not scored as many goal as expected for the club.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that Spanish striker Fernando Torres still has a future at the club, despite a disappointing time since joining for £50m from Liverpool.

Mourinho said that Torres is a good and hard-working professional and has every intention of improving his goalscoring record at the Stamford Bridge club.

"Yes, he has a future," Mourinho told a press conference. "He's contracted and a good professional. He works hard for the team and brings things to the team.

"Obviously we want him to score more goals, obviously he wants to score more goals. It's not just me that wants that."

Chelsea are currently second in the Premier League, two points behind Liverpool.
