Jose Mourinho: 'Eden Hazard deserves more praise'

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho says that Eden Hazard deserves more external praise for his displays this season.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho believes that Eden Hazard deserves more praise from outside the club for his displays this season.

The Belgium international scored a hat-trick as the Blues eased past Newcastle United 3-0 on Saturday.

"He's a player that for some reason hasn't had one single Player of the Month award," Mourinho told Sky Sports News.

"His performance was different today because he scored three goals, but other than that it was the same that we have seen from him all season, so it's quite surprising for me not to see him win more.

"Did you enjoy his performance? Everybody did today."

Hazard's hat-trick took him up to 14 goals for the season as Chelsea went top of the Premier League.
