Jose Mourinho: 'Didier Drogba could start at Manchester United'

Jose Mourinho confirms that Didier Drogba could start against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has revealed that striker Didier Drogba could lead the line against Manchester United at the weekend.

Loic Remy spearheaded the Blues' attack in the absence of the injured Diego Costa for Chelsea's 6-0 thumping of Maribor in the Champions League tonight.

However, the Frenchman pulled up injured and was replaced by Drogba - who later scored - and Mourinho later said that Remy could be out for a couple of weeks.

The veteran Ivorian is now thought to be the club's only fit centre-forward, and the Portuguese coach admits that starting him at Old Trafford on Sunday is a possibility.

"He could be there [against Manchester United]," Mourinho told reporters at full time. "It was good for him to be on the pitch."

The 36-year-old, in his second spell at Stamford Bridge, has only played a little over 25 minutes of Premier League football this season.
