Mario Melchiot calls for Chelsea to sign right-winger to complement Eden Hazard

Former Chelsea defender Mario Melchiot believes that Jose Mourinho needs to sign a right-winger to complement the left-sided Eden Hazard and balance the side out.

Former Chelsea defender Mario Melchiot has claimed that the Blues need a player on the right flank to complement Eden Hazard and balance the team out.

The 24-year-old scored in his side's 2-1 win over Stoke City on Saturday evening to help move Jose Mourinho's charges seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

Melchiot told the Daily Star: "I am a big fan of Hazard. Whenever I watch Chelsea play I always feel when he gets on the ball they really start clicking. But going forward it's all about Hazard.

"That's why sometimes they miss a little bit of balance because they also need someone on the right who can create as much difficulty and problems for the opposition as Hazard does on the left."

Hazard joined Chelsea from Lille in 2012.
