Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas reveals that he will continue to use Frank Lampard on a rotation basis.

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that he will continue to use Frank Lampard on a rotation basis.

Midfielder Lampard recently described his relationship with Villas-Boas as "not ideal" following a season during which he has been in and out of the starting lineup.

Despite Lampard's concerns, Villas-Boas has insisted that he will continue to start the England international when he sees fit.

"Perhaps he has been playing less than usual, but those are technical decisions that we make, according to what is best for the team," Villas-Boas told TSF.

"Frank represents a lot, and most of the times he has to be in the starting lineup because he is one of the best players in the world, and one of the best players for the team, but other times we decided different and that is the way it will continue to be."

Lampard, 33, joined Chelsea in 2001 from West Ham United.
