Fulham boss Martin Jol insists that a 3-0 defeat was a harsh outcome in tonight's Premier League clash with Chelsea.

Fulham manager Martin Jol has insisted that the final score of his side's 3-0 defeat to Chelsea was not a fair reflection of the game.

The Dutchman believes that his side should have had an early goal during this evening's Premier League clash, putting the reverse down to bad luck.

"We couldn't get the goal we should have had in the first few minutes and we had other chances, but we didn't get the break," BBC Sport quotes Jol as saying.

"If you didn't see the game, the result was bit harsh."

David Luiz found the net and John Terry scored twice during the London derby, helping the Blues move above Arsenal to third in the table.
