Luis Figo: 'Jose Mourinho will turn it around at Chelsea'

Luis Figo is in 'no doubt' as to whether Jose Mourinho will find a solution for Chelsea's early-season nightmare.

Real Madrid and Portugal legend Luis Figo has stated his certainty that compatriot Jose Mourinho will solve Chelsea's early-season nightmare.

Mourinho's position at Stamford Bridge has come under intense scrutiny as the Premier League champions sit 16th in the table after losing seven of their first 12 games.

The Blues have also lost their last three league games, but Figo says that the 52-year-old - who has won the Champions League twice - has the talent to turn things around in West London.

"I think the life of a coach is just like that," he told reporters. "The results are not guaranteed, but you don't question their quality because of a less positive phase.

"I have no doubts Jose will get [Chelsea] out of this situation as he did so many times before, although this one can be the worst [situation].

"The main thing is to believe in him, in his work, and then it will be easier to win again."

Chelsea, who sit 15 points behind co-leaders Manchester City and Arsenal, host Norwich City on Saturday following this week's international break.
