Roberto Di Matteo is close to securing the Chelsea job on a permanent basis, according to a report.
The Sun claims that the 41-year-old is unwilling to continue serving as interim manager, and could be offered a contract this month.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is said to favour Di Matteo for the role after failing to secure the services of his first choice Pep Guardiola.
Di Matteo won the Champions League with the Blues after taking the reins from Andre Villas-Boas in March.
