Chelsea, Stoke City resolve Diego Costa steward dispute

Chelsea and Stoke City agree that no further action is necessary after Diego Costa was accused of assault by a matchday steward.

Chelsea and Stoke City have resolved a dispute surrounding claims that Diego Costa assaulted a steward.

The accusations were made after Stoke's 1-0 victory over the Blues, with the incident occurring when Costa retrieved the ball from the touchline.

Officials from both clubs met after the match, with both parties agreeing that no further action would be necessary and referee Anthony Taylor had been notified of their decision.

Chelsea had previously said that the accusation of assault was "utter nonsense".
