Rafael Benitez eyes second place

Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez insists that his side are capable of finishing in second place in the Premier League table.

Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez has praised his side for their performances before the international break.

The Blues progressed through to the Europa League quarter-finals while also moving into third place in the Premier League, but the former Liverpool boss has insisted that Chelsea can continue to move up the table.

The 52-year-old told reporters: "In recent weeks, we have been training very well, we are competing really well and the team was playing very good football.

"So if you can keep all these things and this momentum, I will not be worried about the other teams. I will be just watching Manchester City."

The Stamford Bridge outfit can keep the pressure on Manchester City with victory over Southampton on Saturday.
