Chelsea loanee Patrick Bamford is hoping that his goalscoring exploits at MK Dons will impress Blues boss Jose Mourinho and help him towards a future at Stamford Bridge.
The 20-year-old is the top goalscorer in England, having found the net 12 times for Karl Robinson's side, with whom he is enjoying a second loan spell this season.
Bamford wants to continue his good form up until the New Year and give Mourinho the option of using him in the first team, revealing that he has ambitions to be a Chelsea and England regular in the future.
"If I did, say, get 20 goals before Christmas, which is some way off, I am on 12, then maybe Mourinho might have a look and give me a few goes on the bench but if not I just want to push on," he told Sky Sports News.
Asked where he wanted to be in five years, he replied: "I would like to say being a regular in the Chelsea first team and being in England, that is my ambition."
The England youth international was signed from Nottingham Forest in deal worth over £1m in 2012.
