Former Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri has claimed that Andre Villas-Boas must win a trophy this season if he wants to keep his job.
Villas-Boas has been manager at Stamford Bridge since last summer and Ranieri has warned the Portuguese boss that his position is under threat.
Ranieri was sacked by Blues owner Roman Abramovich in 2004 and was replaced by Jose Mourinho.
The Italian said: "I think he has to win a trophy this year to stay in his job.
"I was sacked because I didn't win - that is the rule and nothing has changed.
"I think Chelsea now are not in a good psychological condition."
Chelsea are currently fifth in the Premier League.
