Andre Villas-Boas is confident that Chelsea can retain striker Didier Drogba when his current contract expires.

The Ivory Coast international's current deal expires next summer, and he is yet to commit his future to the Blues.

"I don't see it as a big issue," Villas-Boas said.

"Players who are attached emotionally to this club - and Didier is attached emotionally to this club - will eventually renew their contract."

The 33-year-old signed for Chelsea in 2004 for a reported £24m.
