Andre Villas-Boas targets cup success

Andre Villas-Boas tells Chelsea to forget the Premier League and focus on the FA Cup and Champions League this week.

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has urged his side to turn their full attention towards the FA Cup and Champions League this week.

The Blues boss, whose side host Birmingham City this afternoon and travel to Napoli in midweek, insists that the club cannot allow their recent Premier League form to affect their performance in cup competition.

"At this club we are given full conditions to succeed, in terms of talent and facilities," he said.

"We need results to put ourselves back on track. These are two competitions we have in our targets and we will see what level we are at.

"In the league we have not been up to the level we are used to in the past. It's a bit like last season but last season we put a run together to finish second. Our full focus now is on these two competitions, then we will get our league form together."

Following defeat at Everton last weekend, Chelsea have slipped to fifth place in the Premier League.
