How Bayern Munich could line up against Chelsea in Champions League tie

Sports Mole looks at how Bayern Munich could line up against Chelsea in Saturday's Champions League last-16 second leg, which they lead 3-0 on aggregate.

Bayern Munich remain on course for a famous treble as they prepare to welcome Chelsea to the Allianz Arena for the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.

The Bavarian giants lead 3-0 from February's first leg and enter this return fixture on a 17-game winning streak in all competitions.

Having already sealed the Bundesliga title and DFB-Pokal, Hansi Flick will now be looking to make it three trophies out of three in his first half-season in charge.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Bayern could line up against Chelsea - the side that defeated them on home soil in the 2012 final - in Saturday's clash.

Possible BAY XI vs. CHE

Out: Benjamin Pavard (ankle)
Doubtful: Kingsley Coman (muscular)

Flick has indicated that he will field a strong starting lineup this weekend, giving his players a chance to rebuild fitness after a month off.

Kingsley Coman is carrying a knock, however, leaving a gap for one of Ivan Perisic or possibly outcast Philippe Coutinho to return to the side.

Robert Lewandowski took his goals tally to 53 for the season with his brace in the DFB-Pokal win over Bayer Leverkusen and will lead the line.

The Polish striker has scored 11 goals and assisted two more in six Champions League appearances this season, averaging a goal or assist every 41 minutes.

Another nailed-on starter is Serge Gnabry, who scored twice in the first leg and also netted the winner in last week's friendly victory over Marseille.

With Benjamin Pavard ruled out because of an ankle injury, Joshua Kimmich is expected to slot into right-back, meaning a holding midfield pivot of Thiago Alcantara and Leon Goretzka.
