Charlton Athletic manager Chris Powell has revealed his delight at his side's 1-0 home win against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday afternoon.
Powell said that he would demand the same level from his side for the rest of the season, but was particularly pleased with the performance of his captain Johnnie Jackson, who scored the late winner.
"This is the benchmark for what is to come over the next 17 games, I will make sure of that," he told Sky Sports News.
"One or two things went in our favour, which is about time because we have had many, many things go against us for some while now.
"We hit the post twice in one move but they stuck at it and in the end we got our just desserts. People look for the captain to lead the team and with John it is his goals. It was apt he scored the goal."
Charlton are now just a point away from escaping the Championship relegation zone in 22nd.
