Nicholas Fitzgerald fired the New South Wales outfit ahead after 22 minutes, collecting a pinpoint pass from Storm Roux before slotting beyond goalkeeper Michael Theo.

The A-League leaders suffered further turmoil six minutes later when Anthony Caceres found the top corner from range to double his side's advantage.

Mike Mulvey's men nearly reduced the arrears shortly before the interval, only for Dimitri Petratos to watch his effort crash off the post.
