Celtic have completed the signing of FC Groningen centre-back Virgil van Dijk on a four-year contract.
Van Dijk was in Glasgow yesterday to undergo a medical and the club have now confirmed the details of the deal.
"Celtic are delighted to announce that defender Virgil van Dijk has joined the club from FC Groningen," the SPL side said on their website.
"The Dutch Under-21 internationalist has signed a four-year deal with the Scottish Champions, and he becomes the latest player to join Neil Lennon's squad during the close season following the arrival of striker Amido Balde from Portuguese side, Vitoria Guimaraes."
Van Dijk has been capped three times by the Dutch U21s.
