Miku: 'I shouldn't have joined Celtic'

Celtic's loanee centre-forward Miku admits that he should never have agreed to sign for the club.

Venezuelan striker Miku has conceded that he made a "mistake" in joining Celtic last year.

The 27-year-old reportedly had numerous offers when he was informed by Getafe that he could leave the club on a loan basis, but he eventually opted to sign for Neil Lennon's side.

However, having only made 14 appearances, Miku has now confessed that he regrets his decision.

"It was a mistake to go there simply because I cannot do anything," he said in an interview published in his homeland.

"At first I did not understand. I said to myself: 'How might come to play in the best league in the world and play no part in Scotland?' But then I realised that things had nothing to do with sport."

Miku has found the net twice during his 14 outings.
