Leigh Griffiths signs new Celtic deal

Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths signs a new five-year deal keeping him with the Scottish champions until 2021.

Leigh Griffiths has signed a new long-term deal keeping him at Celtic until 2021.

The 25-year-old striker, who joined the Scottish Premiership champions from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2014, is the division's leading scorer with 14 goals in 16 league appearances so far this season.

"I love putting the Celtic top on every time and feeling that expectation to win every week," said Griffiths.

"I'm looking forward to the next five years in the Hoops as we look to add to the trophies already won."

Celtic welcome Motherwell to Glasgow on Saturday as they look to extend their lead at the top of the division.
