Rogic: 'Working under Rodgers is intense'

Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic hails the "intense" nature of manager Brendan Rodgers, who he claims is able to get more and more out of his players.

Tom Rogic has put Celtic's sustained success under Brendan Rodgers down to the manager's determination to continue getting the best out of every player.

The Hoops have won back-to-back domestic trebles since Rodgers arrived in Glasgow two years ago and have been tipped to achieve an unprecedented 'treble treble'.

Rodgers said earlier this week that "being comfortable is the enemy of progress", and midfielder Rogic is adamant that neither he nor his teammates will ever rest on their laurels.

"That's how the manager works. He's challenging the players every day to become better, he certainly doesn't let anyone rest on what they may have achieved last season or the years before that," he told Sky Sports News.

"He's intense to work under, he's always challenging the players to become better and better and I think that's a major part of our success over the past couple of years."

Australia international Rogic signed a five-year contract at Parkhead at the end of last season.
