Report: Cardiff City tracking Hugo Vieira

Cardiff City are reportedly monitoring Braga's out-of-favour forward Hugo Vieira.

Cardiff City are reportedly locked in a battle with Elche for Braga forward Hugo Vieira.

The 25-year-old scored eight goals in 13 games while on loan at Gil Vicente last season, earning him a move to the AXA Stadium during the summer.

However, he has played just 57 minutes this term, leading to rumours that he could be heading for the exit, either on loan or permanently, in January.

According to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, Bluebirds boss Malky Mackay is searching for extra strike power to help his team survive their first season in the Premier League, and Vieira could be the answer to his problems.
