Cardiff City have confirmed the signing of Kevin Theophile-Catherine from Rennes.

The former France under-21 international misses Rennes Ligue 1 match against Lille this evening after undergoing a medical in South Wales.

Cardiff are believed to have agreed a €2.5m (£2.1m) deal for Theophile-Catherine, who becomes their seventh signing of the summer.

Bluebirds boss Malky Mackay confirmed the deal amid reports that the French full-back will sign a four-year deal.
