Andrew Taylor rallies Cardiff City fans ahead of Swansea City visit

Cardiff City's Andrew Taylor calls on the fans to be the team's 12th man during the 106th derby clash with Swansea City on Sunday.

Cardiff City defender Andrew Taylor has issued a rallying call to the club's fanbase to be their 12th man during the eagerly anticipated derby with Swansea City on Sunday.

The Welsh outfits are preparing to face one another for the 106th time in their respective histories - the first in a top flight division.

The former Middlesbrough defender likened the clash to the Old Firm rivalary in Scotland but, despite calling on supporters to inspire them to victory, Taylor is hoping the encounter can pass without incident.

"I've not experienced a rivalry of this sort before. I've played in Middlesbrough and Sunderland derbies, but it is nothing compared to this. It's on a par with Celtic and Rangers for me," he told Sky Sports Newa

"There's a lot of hostility, but I hope that passion does not spill over. We hope to use the atmosphere to our advantage and do something similar to Manchester City.

"My message to the fans is be passionate, be vocal and get behind the team but don't overstep the mark. We want a good, entertaining game for the fans and hopefully we win."

Sunday's game at the Cardiff City Stadium is scheduled to kick off at 4pm.
